Flights
I flew with ITA Airways from London City Airport (LCY) to Rome-Fiumicino Airport (FCO) for $114.78. LCY was a great airport to fly out of since it’s relatively small, only taking a few minutes to get through security and passport control.
Transportation
To get to and from the airport, I used the train, costing $18.86 total. Make sure to validate your ticket so you don’t get fined.
I took public buses and trams to get around the city. Contactless payment is available on public transport. My four rides totaled $7.04, or $1.76 per ride.
Accommodations
I opted for a bed and breakfast for $326.04 (108.68/night) in the Trastevere neighborhood, which was a great location for a quick stay since it was in proximity of the main attractions.
Meals
The $150.01 breaks down to $119.04 for lunch, $6.90 for dinner and $24.07 for drinks/snacks. I did what the Italians do and ordered four courses for lunch, having leftovers for dinner.
