Flights

I booked my business class flight from Washington D.C. (IAD) to London (LHR) with 63,000 Cathay Pacific Miles and paid $218.67 in taxes and fees. The cash rate for this flight was $3,938.00 (5.9 CPP). The Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to get into the United Kingdom cost $22.59.

Transportation

To get around the city, I used the London Underground (Tube). My five rides averaged $5.48 per ride. The Tube accepts contactless payment.

Accommodations

I opted for a capsule hotel in Picadilly Circus for $54/night, totaling $108. Hotel rooms in this area ran $250/night, which was more than what I was willing to pay.

The capsule hotel was okay. I would only recommend it to people who can sleep through noise. My pod was located next to the door, so I heard people coming in and out all night.

Meals

The $325.56 breaks down to $33.09 for breakfast, $12.93 for lunch, $63.44 for dinner and $47.45 for drinks/snacks. I also paid $78.65 for afternoon tea, which included unlimited teas, finger sandwiches, and sweets.
